Join Our Team as Pastoral Care Coordinator

25 hours per week 

Are you eager to play a key role in supporting a parish that cares for its congregations and community? St Barnabas Anglican Church in Fendalton is searching for a compassionate Pastoral Care Coordinator to join our vibrant parish! In this fulfilling 25-hour position (including Sundays), you’ll work mainly with our traditional congregations on Sundays and Thursdays, as well as overseeing our home communion and rest home services. You’ll be making a meaningful impact on those around you.

In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our pastoral care efforts, connecting with individuals in need and coordinating vital support activities. We’re looking for someone with strong people skills, who can efficiently manage administrative tasks while also being highly proficient with technology.

Join Our Team as Children’s Minister

15 hours per week 

Are you passionate about nurturing children’s faith and growing vibrant, engaged ministries to children?
 
Due to a retirement, St Barnabas Anglican Church in Fendalton is looking for a dynamic Children’s Minister to lead and grow our Sunday ministries for kids, ages 3-12, and support families.
 
If you’re experienced in children’s ministry, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and possess strong relational and leadership skills, we want you! You’ll develop programmes, recruit and mentor volunteers, and foster a safe, welcoming environment for spiritual growth.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of our tamariki, our church, and community.

St Barnabas is a lively Anglican Parish in Christchurch with a strong community focus and a wide range of groups and ministries. These include groups for children, youth, young adults, seniors, men and women, as well as groups for those learning English, play group, mainly music and Messy Church.
