Community Van

St Barnabas owns a community van which is available for use by not-for-profit groups.  We love to see the van being used and encourage groups to contact us if you think you might like to borrow the vehicle.

We do have a few guidelines, listed below, for who may borrow the van, so please check, and if in doubt, contact the St Barnabas office on 03 352 7064 between 9:00am-3:00pm, Mon-Fri, or via email to office@stbarnabas.org.nz.

  1. The van will be made available to not-for-profit groups.
  2. The group will be based within the Fendalton Waimairi ward area or providing a service that predominantly benefits residents of the Fendalton Waimairi ward.
  3. Priority will be given to groups that have limited resources to access vans through other means.

The van will not be made available to:

  • Individuals
  • Private Rest Homes
  • Government Departments
  • Businesses
  • Schools (possible exception dependent on purpose/use)
  • Groups from out of Christchurch
  • Sports Groups (possible exception dependent on purpose/use)
