Dinners for 8 had a revamp this year and is now called “Meet & Eat”.
This year we had lunches and dinners; sometimes only 6 or even more than 8. It was whatever suited the host or hostess, and the group. There was lots of fun and laughter as well as plenty of wonderful food!
It was a great opportunity for new parishioners to meet others in the parish as well as enjoying a lovely lunch or evening out with people you worship alongside, getting to know them a little better. Even Peter & Pam Chapman came back and joined in – how lovely to see them again.
There were a few hiccups with people getting Covid and having to isolate, but we got there in the end.
Traditionally we end with a shared meal in the hall, however, as the hall is still in the process of getting its ‘facelift,’ we will instead be having a shared Parish dinner in the newly refurbished hall in February next year. What a great way to start the year and christen our new Hall!
