Each Friday night during the term our youth group gets together for a feed, some good times, deep and meaningfuls and some good ol' fashioned he karakia e te pō. Youth group is open to all teens in high school and runs 7-9pm Fridays in our youth room above the church hall.

At SBYG we love camps! So much so that we've been to 12 camps since Easter 2015! Here are a few pics of what we've got up to recently...
On Sundays during our Sunday morning service 'Lifestreams' (9.30am) we have 'The Revs' – a great chance for young people to get together and dig deeper into the Bible and ask the hard questions. Open to all young people between school years 7-13.

'The Revs' ~ Every Sunday during term time
At SBYG we believe young people are awesome and we want to see them flourish to the best of their God given ability! Part of seeing young people flourish is encouraging, equipping, and investing in those who show particular leadership potential.
Currently we have three young people who are involved with 'The Kiln,' a leadership development initiative hosted by the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch. For the past three years we have taken a small group of young people to 'The Abbey' which is a conference hosted by te Hahi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tireni, ki Nga Moutere o te Moana Nui a Kiwa. We also invest heavily in mentoring and run two leadership development retreats a year for our youth leadership team and young leaders. On top of all this we occasionally seek out additional opportunities for our young people to gain further valuable leadership formation and experience.
