Sunday Services

  • 8am Eucharist is a quiet, said service of Holy Communion, with a sermon, the whole service lasting about 45 minutes. There are no hymns. It is followed by fellowship over breakfast in the Tui Room.
  • 9am Medbury Service is a weekly service during Term time for the pupils of Medbury School (Years 1-8) and their families.
  • 10am Sung Eucharist in the Church is a sung service of Holy Eucharist with good traditional and modern hymns. It lasts about an hour.
  • 10am lifestreams at Medbury School – informal worship and Eucharist, for those of all ages who prefer a liturgy that is interactive, flexible, and suitable for families with pre-schoolers, school aged children. It is also for Medbury families. It lasts about an hour.
    • During the 10ams, Kidzone and Bible Bashers– Sunday morning programmes for children and young people.
    • After the 10am services, we have Morning Tea together in the Hall.
  • 7pm Evening Service is a quiet evening liturgy with hymns, led by a Choir. We use a variety of styles including the old Book of Common Prayer Evensong, the NZ Prayer Book, Celtic, Night Prayer, Taizé. It lasts about one hour.
  • 7pm Antioch – Youth Service a welcoming, fun, light-hearted but deeply worshipful service. People of any stage of Christian exploration can encounter God and other people on a similar journey. Food always follows the service! For those aged 17 to 30.

Mid-week Eucharists

  • 8.45am Wednesday from the New Zealand Prayer Book (NZPB)
  • 10am Thursday from the NZPB or the Book of Common Prayer. On the first Thursday of the month, Prayer for Healing is offered after the service.
  • Stillpoint a time of contemplative prayer, being still with God, led by experienced prayer guides, 1st Tues of each month 7.30-9pm St Barnabas Church
