Music

Sunday Morning

10am Sung Eucharist
Denis Guyan leads the choir and congregation in well known traditional and modern hymns, and choral settings. We are also keen to recruit any instrumentalists to play during the service – if you play any instrument and would like to join in, please see Denis. Rehearsal: prior to the service.

10am lifestreams
band and children’s singing group
In February, Michael Cropp will take over from Angela Wightman co-ordinating the band which leads the lifestreams Eucharist in the Church Hall. The band is for anyone in Year 9 upwards (including adults) who can play any instrument at any level! The band currently has drums, guitars, keyboard, saxophone and singers– and is always looking out for new members. Rehearsals are on Friday evening at 7pm

The children’s group sings at the lifestreams All Age services once a month. It’s for kids at primary and intermediate school. Rehearsals are on Fridays with the band
or after the lifestreams service.

Sunday Evening

7pm Evensong
Denis Guyan also leads the choir as they sing at the variety of services on Sunday evenings. The repertoire includes traditional Book of Common Prayer Choral Evensong to Taizé chants and modern hymns.
Rehearsal every Thursday evening at 7.30pm.
The choir is always looking for new members – no audition necessary!

7pm Antioch
The band, comprised of drums, keyboard, guitars, saxophone and vocals, mostly plays contemporary Christian worship music. They’re always looking for young Christian musicians, playing any instrument! They rehearse on a Sunday afternoon before the service.
